This year’s trade shows focus on environmentally-friendly packaging. Sustainability has always been a key theme for KAPAG. As such, our renewable raw materials are sourced from sustainably managed forests and the energy we use for the production of our multiply paperboards is more than 90% C0₂ neutral. An area of 2500m² of wild meadows cover parts of our factory premises, which has been left untouched to foster biodiversity.
Naturally, we do not stop there. We work continuously to create new products that underpin the sustainable qualities of paperboard packaging. EcoLine Grass Duo is the latest addition to our EcoLine product family. This paperboard contains recycled fibres as well as a high percentage of sundried grass from areas of land put aside for ecological compensation or from fallow land. Our vast range of cartonboard used for wine and spirit packaging now contains a plastic-free silver quality, meaning it can be disposed of with standard paper waste products.
