We are excited to present the new uncoated solid bleached board Ensovelvet™ in higher paper weights. Its icy white shade is well suited for luxury applications, and its velvety smooth surfaces provide a wonderfully tactile experience. That luxury and sustainability can go hand in hand, proves the Perrier-Jouët champagne house with the Cohabitare project and its premium packaging made from our uncoated 3D paperboard FibreForm® White Duo.
Discover Ensovelvet™ - the recently engineered uncoated solid bleached board – that we produce in the higher paper weights from 490 to 650gsm. You will appreciate the tactile feel of its velvety smooth surfaces as well as the high whiteness and stiffness, which is important for demanding premium packaging uses. Our substance range (490 – 650gsm) complements the Ensovelvet™ range by Stora Enso (240 – 320gsm). This large basis weight offering enables you to convert with a consistent look and feel to suit most packaging applications.
Inside the above pictured packaging is a limited edition Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2016. The carton is deeply embossed with some of the flora and fauna observed in the Perrier-Jouët vineyard. The packaging is the result of the ‘Cohabitare’ project, a collaboration between the renowned producer of champagne and Studio Formafantasma that aims to reintroduce biodiversity to viticulture. Paying homage to the chalky subsoil of the Champagne region, the simple white surface of the carton is wonderfully tactile and just begs to be touched. This unique embossing is possible thanks to Billerud’s FSC-certified FibreForm® paper that has extremely high tensile stretch and tearing resistance.
