Our CHANGEMAKER range showcases material alternatives to plastic that refuse to compromise on functionality, yet draw attention to branded packaged goods at the point of sale. With the Cohabitare project and its premium packaging made from FIBREFORM WHITE DUO, the Perrier-Jouët champagne house proves that luxury and sustainability can go hand in hand.
Our Changemaker range demonstrates that renewable materials can replace plastics for many applications without compromising on functionality or design. What’s more, our Changemaker paperboards score highly in terms of printability, affording new opportunities for brands at the point of sale. One example is a gift carton for sweet pastries where Sappi’s Algro Design is laminated with Sappi’s functional barrier paper AvantGuard. This combination protects reliably against fats, oxygen, aroma and moisture, while also enhancing the product’s appeal at the point of sale. Changemaker paperboards have a variety of applications including but not limited to flat-skin packaging for fresh food and cartons for small hardware items for outside use or point of sale promotions.
Inside the above pictured beautiful packaging is a limited edition Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2016. The carton is deeply embossed with some of the flora and fauna observed in the Perrier-Jouët vineyard. The packaging is the result of the ‘Cohabitare’ project, a collaboration between the renowned producer of champagne and Studio Formafantasma that aims to reintroduce biodiversity to viticulture. Paying homage to the chalky subsoil of the Champagne region, the simple white surface of the carton is wonderfully tactile and just begs to be touched. This unique embossing is possible thanks to Billerud’s FSC-certified FibreForm® paper that has extremely high tensile stretch and tearing resistance. Pass by our stand to see, feel and discover it for yourself!
